What Is History?
Simply put, history is HIS-story. It's God's story! From beginning to end, God is the author of an incredible story that is being lived out each and every day. Every event that has ever taken place. Every person that has ever lived. Every moment in time. It is all part of God's story.
As a subject in school, History is a class in which we pause to take time to learn about the past -- to learn about the people and events that happened "back in time". Learning about the past helps us to understand who we are, where we came from, and who God is and what He is capable of. Knowing the past helps us better understand the present, and helps us be better prepared and equipped for the future.
