God’s Story: The Fall. We really love all the episodes from the God’s Story series. They are very simple, concise, and straight to the point, while still be very entertaining for students of every age group.

The Story of Adam and Eve. Douglas tells the story of Adam and Eve, from their creation to the fall.

The Choice Is Yours. Douglas talks about how people are NOT robots. God didn't just create us to robotically obey Him. He gave us a choice of whether to live His way or to live our own way because having choices makes it possible for us to have a relationship with God, whereas being "robot" without any choice, does not make relationships possible.

Mystery of History
Our family is working through the Mystery of History series as our core history textbook, and just reading chapters in the textbook as they correspond with our history lessons laid out on this website.

What in the World? Ancient Civilizations and the Bible. More geared towards older students. These audio lectures by Diana Waring give a Biblical account of world history that is exciting, informative, and insightful. This is part of the History Revealed program. Our family isn’t doing the History Revealed program (we started, but decided we liked the Mystery of History better); but we still use the “What in the World?” audio lectures to supplement our history program.
The section that corresponds with today’s topic is:
Track 3: Early Man (especially from time stamp 00:00 to 02:17)
Music and Dance
We like to sing and dance in our classroom. Singing fun, catchy songs (especially if they have motions or dance moves!) is always a great way to get kids engaged in the lesson, having fun, and remembering what they are learning.
Memory Verse Song: The Wages of Sin. A catchy little tune to help kids memorize Romans 6:23 (ESV).
Object Lessons
Object lessons are a great way to help kids better understand concepts and grasp the meaning of the lesson.
Object Lesson on Temptation. Learn about how you don’t just “fall” into sin, you get “sucked” into sin when you give in to temptation!

Christian Apologetics
"Christian Apologetics" is a phrase often used to describe the action of defending the Christian faith. We believe that the Bible is true, but that belief isn't a "blind faith". We aren't just believing the Bible because we want to, we believe it because it is true, and there are many ways that we can know that it is true.
There are many people who would like to prove the Bible to be wrong, but in over 2,000 years every attempt at proving the Bible wrong has failed. At the same time, there are many people who would like us to believe that there isn't a God, and that everything came into existence "by chance" and by the process of evolution. But there are many ways in which the evidence for evolution falls apart and can be proven false.
So basically, "Christian Apologetics" is about taking a step beyond just learning the truth of Scripture, and actually digging into learning about how we can defend our faith in the midst of doubts, skepticisms, and any number of attacks against it.

Answers Building Blocks with Brian and Avery. Answers in Genesis made this amazing series of videos that take kids through the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation. The series is actually an entire Sunday School Program and Homeschool Bible Curriculum, but after trying out the actual program, our family moved away from doing the book work and lessons and have really just been enjoying watching all of the videos, without the extra content -- and would really highly recommend these videos for children of all ages!

Was There a Literal Talking Snake in the Garden?
A talking snake in the account of the Fall, in Genesis 3, has raised a lot of questions for believers and skeptics alike, and Atheists like to use questions about the talking snake to discredit the Bible, and undermine it's authority and validity. For these reasons, it's important (especially for older students) to dig into this topic and take a deeper look at the question: Was there really a literal talking snake in the garden of Eden?

This is an article on the Answers in Genesis website that helps to answer several of the questions regarding the serpent in the garden of Eden, including questions like: "Who is the serpent?", "Should Eve have been surprised to hear the serpent speak?" and "Did the serpent originally have legs?"​​​

Did The Serpent in Genesis Literally Speak?. Although the Bible claims to be true, it tells a seemingly farfetched story in Genesis 3 about a serpent speaking to Eve. In fact, out of all the things recorded in Genesis, this is probably the most ridiculed by unbelievers, and even some Christians try to make this account metaphorical rather than historical. But, perhaps, it is not so fanciful as it sounds. After all, talking animals aren’t out of our own experience, are they?

Other Questions About Genesis 3
Genesis 3 brings up a lot of questions for both Christians and non-Christians alike. Some of the biggest questions center around free will and the goodness of God. Questions like, "If God knew Adam and Eve would sin, then why did He put the tree in the garden?" and "If God knew that they would eat from the tree, then was it really free will?"
In this section, we'll try to answer some of those more difficult questions.
Why the Tree? Object Lesson. The Adam and Eve story often brings up the question: "Why the Tree?". This object lesson uses a remote control toy to illustrate the theme of free will. God didn't make us "remote controlled" people. God gave us a wonderful gift: the freedom to choose. We can choose to love God or we can choose to reject Him. We can choose to listen to God or we can choose to ignore Him. God's love is so great that He took a big risk when giving us a free will.
